• A $3M label-manufacturing facility, supporting Central American clothing manufacturers and their retail and brand owner customers, has been brought online by Avery Dennison Retail Information Services.

• Cambridge-based Inca Digital Printers has topped the 100-staff mark and is on target this year for sales of £10M. About 30% of staff and 20% of turnover continues to be reinvested in R&D. Always a man with a sense of humour, managing director Bill Baxter says: "And in case anyone is wondering – no we will not transfer our manufacturing to China!"

• Johnsen & Jorgensen is to team up Rebhan FPS to provide a one-stop cosmetics packaging service which offers both off-the-shelf components and product development service embracing 3D computer technology and in-house tool-making expertise.

• Engelmann & Buckham has been appointed agents for the Kroenert Group including Bachofen + Meier and Drytec, and WT Wickeltechnik, representing a significant development in the UK converting and labelling industries.
