Bundles are in

9 September 2003

A ground breaking pack collation system from Sessions of York has been developed to avoid the need for shrink film, overwraps and outer packaging.

The machine is designed for collating and bundling small, uniformly shaped square and rectangular packs.

A typical application would be an individual pack being formed into a twin-pack, held together by a label around its four sides. These can then be collated further into multi-packs of five twin packs secured by self-adhesive labels on the top and bottom profiles.

The collation unit is built around Sessions' SL series of label applicators, including SL221 and SL330 applicators.
