BPF slams indifference

23 June 2003

BPF director general Peter Davis has hit out at the lack of compensation for companies found innocent after powerful competition authorities have carried out their investigations.

"Such investigations can last years and destroy a company's reputation and business," says Mr Davis who has written a letter of complaint to OFT. In this weekend's newspapers two more senior posts have been advertised in the rapidly growing competition industry.

"Large increases in public sector jobs like this are of great concern. I would like to see the Government help stimulate investment in manufacturing rather than employing more competition policemen."
