Bosch reaches for the baby food market

1 September 2010

Bosch Packaging Technology, a Bosch division, presented its latest developments in aseptic packaging at an international Aseptic Symposium, hosted by the company in Stuttgart, Germany, in July 2010.

Amcor, RPC Cobelplast, Rossi Catelli and Rohrer gave their views as users of Bosch’s recent innovations, and baby food specialist Bledina spoke about the trend in ready meals packaged in plastic cups. Topics also included lid films for baby food and dessert cups, advanced die cutting solutions for the processing of complex, flexible plastic films and the multiphase sterilisation process.

At the Bosch plant in Waiblingen, event participants inspected the Servac TFA 4830 PP, an aseptic cup thermoform, fill and seal machine for the baby food industry. The system is said to help maintain product shelf life for 12 months at ambient temperatures.
