Boost for low-volume packagers

31 January 2008

A case/tray packer that speeds up production for low-volume packagers has been launched by Douglas Invex.

The machine incorporates the flexibility of servo controls to provide an economical 25 case/tray per/min unit with a small footprint. Features include software modularity to simplify diagnostics and changeovers are recipe-driven with minimal change parts and simple hand wheel adjustments.

The company says the units have a smooth, quiet operation, need less maintenance and suffer fewer jams. Greater throughput is possible because machine functions start up simultaneously.
