Blister designed for a carton shipper

8 May 2003

Pago is currently working with Denny Bros Printing to combine their blister label with a Fixaform leaflet that offers the potential to eliminate the carton from the pack [two blisters from the carton]. An individual carton is not needed. When opened most people take the blisters out of the carton.

"We have suggested to one of our customers that this alternative with the Fixaform leaflet attached to the blister is potentially safer because the child may look at the leaflet and not worry about what's in the pack," says Pago managing director Mike Cooper.

"If brands can sell the product in individual blisters, there could be a multi-blister carton shipper that goes straight onto the supermarket shelf.

"The patient information leaflet is attached automatically.

"Not the solution for pharmaceuticals on prescription, maybe, but more than adequate for OTC brands."
