Beverage Can Makers Europe (BCME), the trade body representing Europe's leading drinks can manufacturers, today announced the launch of its new website.
The new BCME site (www.bcme.org) offers thorough, yet quick and easy access to essential information about the unique positive attributes of the beverage can, and the association's work programme, its members and partners.
The website dedicates an important section to sustainability, in order for visitors to be clearly informed about the drinks can's environmental credentials. Made from a permanent material, cans are the perfect example of a circular economy at work, and they are already the most recycled package in the world with a recycling rate over 70%. The website also highlights the importance of
the Metal Recycles Forever logo which is finding its way onto many food and drinks cans, and encourages consumers to play a more active part in the recycling of cans.
