Pactiv unveiled at May’s Interzoo exhibition in Nuremberg a recloseable petfood packaging system designed to ensure easier frequent opening and closing of petfood bags.
Visitors to Pactiv’s stand could see a new combination of the company’s established Slide-Rite zipper system with the new Particle Plow Slider.
The Slide-Rite Particle Plow allows removal of product residues from the slider track when opening petfood bags for clean, safe frequent opening and re-sealing. The barrier track is reportedly ideal for packs requiring an oxygen or aroma barrier.
Pactiv demonstrated the slider combination as part of new carrier bag incorporating side gussets with an integrated handle which has already been successfully launched in the European retail market – a key target market will again be the petfood sector.
