BAMA, the British Aerosol Manufacturers' Association, is to hold its annual Forum on 17-18 October, with its Awards dinner on 17 October 2013.
The two-day BAMA Forum will cover topics that include industry matters such as leak detection, HFO-1234ze for personal care, Authorised Economic Operator scheme, FEA update, compressed aerosol products, spray technology and dry shampoos; business items including counterfeiting and alternative sources of finance; and a presentation entitled ‘Smell is a potent wizard’ from Professor Tim Jacob of Cardiff University, on olfaction and fragrance in aerosols.
The Forum and Awards are open to all BAMA members, and there will also be space for members to showcase their products and services.
Now in their fifth year, the BAMA Awards – described as “a valuable way of promoting businesses” – recognise and promote the high standards in the UK aerosol industry.
This year, for the first time, there are rewards for BAMA members who enter the Awards, with prizes worth a total of £3000 for the companies who are picked as winners or runners-up in two of the Awards categories.
Companies engaged in any aspect of the aerosol industry but which are not already members of BAMA may enter the Awards and apply to attend the Forum and gala dinner, as long as they have applied for membership and have their application accepted before 6 September 2013, the closing date for entries.
