Cambridge based Avro Industries has completed its acquisition of thermoforming company RR Foodbox, at Keighley, West Yorkshire. Avro supplies thermoformed packaging to the food industries through its subsidiaries Anson Packaging and Anson Food Service.
Mark du Jardin, ceo of Avro Industries, said: “This latest acquisition provides us with the potential to develop our product offering in the food service segment, including card sandwich wedges.
MD of RR Foodbox Richard Stott added: “RR Foodbox will continue to run as an independent, limited company and so it will be very much a case of business as usual for staff and customers.”
The combined turnover of the companies in the Avro group is now about £40M. It employs some 400 people throughout the UK.
