Audus buys Dines to create PET jar giant

18 April 2005

Audus Noble, the Northumberland-based rigid plastic packaging producer, has acquired Dines Plastics, creating one of the UK's largest manufacturers of PET plastic jars.

Established over 40 years ago, Audus Noble operates from an 80,000ft² production plant in Blyth, blowmoulding, injection stretch blowmoulding and injection moulding plastic packs for customers ranging from blue chip multinationals to small owner-managed businesses.

The company views Basildon-based Dines Plastics as a "neat fit" as its hi-tech plant and 46-strong work force will expand both its product range and capabilities.

Keith Stephenson, Audus Noble md, says: "Dines Plastics has a complementary product range to ours and is strong in PET manufacture, which is our growth area. We will be conducting a business review in the next few weeks to establish the way forward for both companies."
