Ardagh Glass boosted by Scottish Government grant

13 September 2010

Ardagh Glass’s plant in Ayrshire, a spirits industry supplier, is to receive a £1.95 million development grant from the Scottish Government.

The funding will support ongoing improvements and investments of more than £16 million, at Ardagh’s container glass manufacturing plant in Irvine over a three-year period.

The grant will help improve the sustainability of the company’s manufacturing operations by ensuring significant CO2 reductions and safeguarding local jobs, says Niall Wall, CEO of Ardagh Glass Group.

Ardagh Glass produces in excess of 13 billion glass containers every year across 20 plants in Europe.
