The stylish jar features a full-colour printed sleeve in place of a "traditional" label, said to be a "unique approach" in the marinated fish market. The sleeve was designed by Dutch packaging design company Brummelkamp/Hoekstra and is produced by Fuji Seal.
Ouwehand says it affords insulating properties to the jar, particularly useful when storing the product during warmer months, while replacing the former label with a sleeve has dramatically reduced factory noise levels since the company no longer needs run the labelling machine.
