Following its recent acquisition of Optima, in Morocco, North African flexible packaging producer Altea has acquired Porta Egypt for Packaging Materials and its subsidiary, Rotopack Misr.

Porta and Rotopack are leading companies in the Egyptian flexible packaging market, supplying both major multinational and national companies. Their capabilities include printing and production of central sealing bags, stand-up pouches and shrink sleeves.

Altea Packaging claims to be the flexible packaging leader in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region, with an industrial presence in Europe. It has an installed annual capacity of more than 40,000 tonnes, more than 700 employees and seven industrial plants in Morocco, Egypt, Tunisia and France.
