Alexir carries on after factory fire

5 November 2010

Alexir Partnership has lost its Crawley production facility due to a fire in the production area on 4 November. Fortunately, all the staff were unharmed and the company has alternative facilities in Uckfield and an additional site in Crawley, so customers can be serviced as usual.

Alexir Chairman Robert Davison says: “We have a full Disaster Recovery Plan in place for this type of situation and we now have fully functioning offices within our Offsite Storage Facility. We hope to be 100% operational next week. Fortunately, we have in place reciprocal agreements with our colleagues in the industry to ensure continuity of supply for customers.”

All customers can contact Alexir on the usual number, 01293 544644, as communications have already been transferred to the Crawley site.
