It features a metal disc, with a tamper evident safety button, and a plastic outer shell with a drop down tamper evident band that is visibly destroyed. The button pops up with an audible click when the vacuum is released. It provides a triple safety feature as the consumer can see, feel and hear the change.
The closure is said to ensure low product migration, reduced micro leakage and oxygen permeation. It is also said to be easy to open and safe to reseal by pressing the closure onto the jar.
