AEW Delford introduces new labellers

29 November 2005

Two new labelling systems have been introduced by weighing, grading, labelling, packaging, slicing and portion control equipment manufacturer AEW Delford Systems.

The LS40 is a simple, "low-cost" stainless steel system for applying promotional and product description labels, available in a choice of configurations, including floor standing and integrating with conveyors.

It can accommodate labels up to 100mm x 150mm at a nominal speed of 150 packs/min, with quick release fittings ensuring fast, efficient label change. Large labels can be used with a simple web upgrade.

The C3 Panel Label Applicator offers wraparound labelling around three sides of a tray or container. To ensure "100% adhesion" the pack is driven through the machine by powered side belts and a brush wiper assembly.

The standalone unit can apply pre-printed or variable printed labels with the addition of a thermal transfer printer. For products requiring catchweigh labelling, the C3 can be interfaced with an integral Delford weighing unit.
