Adult concepts

Beatson Clark has created a range of striking glass concept bottles aimed at the adult soft drinks sector.

The glass packaging specialist commissioned design agency Blue Marlin to design the containers, which it feels provide a new perspective on some of the more traditional packaging used in the sector.

From the initial concepts Beatson Clark's in-house design team got involved to create workable models that could actually be produced in glass. The designs, well received by in-house designers and buyers from a number of "household brands" at London's International Food & Drink (IFE) exhibition in March, include "Twist", designed for fruity drinks that may have a twist of citrus, which has a twist debossed all the way up the bottle; Sparkle, for slightly sparkling soft drinks, which has bubbles embossed around the bottom; and Grip, with four fingers and a thumb debossed into the container, which might typically be used for energy drinks.
