Accuracy wins over Chiron

20 April 2004

Versatility, consistent high quality print and fast product changeover were key to the world's fifth largest vaccines company Chiron Vaccines' selection of two Allen 50/30 Super Compact hot foil coders.

Supplied by the Thermo Electron Corporation, they are being used to overprint vital, variable information onto pre-printed labels and a variety of wax and plastic surfaces on syringes and vials.

Engineering team manager for the syringe and vial production lines Mike Buller says: "The coders' key benefit is fast, simple product and data changeover and high print quality - it is always clear, accurate and precise.

"A hot foil coder is also better than the inkjet alternative for printing onto wax and plastic surfaces."
