A pack to tap into thirsty minds

29 July 2002

West-Yorkshire based design agency Blueprint has developed a novel drinking bottle aimed at offering an added value solution to schoolchildren at risk from dehydration.

Developed with a customer in mind, the refillable pack is designed to encourage children of all ages to drink more water as it has emerged that schools are poor providers of water and that work can suffer without drinking the daily recommended eight glasses.

Blueprint chose a triangular shape that would appeal as a fashion accessory as it can be carried across the shoulder or sit flat on a desk. The coloured bottle incorporates a water-tight seal that holds a name tag and can be customised with stickers or company branding.

A pop-up sports style mouth piece, together with hinged lids help those who want to drink on the move.

Water companies across the UK have expressed interest in the design. Expect to see more of this bottle in the near future...
