A new dawn for Merroc

1 November 2001

The Merroc buy-out found success at the eleventh hour, after several failed attempts to persuade Avery Dennison to sell.

A vital cash injection from a LINC Scotland investment syndicate helped clinch the deal.

The take-over team raised half of the multi-million pound bid, with a vital 10% coming from Ashleybank Investment, led by the Stephenson family.

LINC Scotland is currently in contact with around 500 business angels who are waiting in the wings to invest in fledgling companies across the UK.

One of the first venture capital organisations of its kind in Europe, LINC has set the pace for more than 140 similar networks across the globe.
