A mailer for fragile shipments

9 January 2003

A cushioned mailer that combines protection with sophisticated non-woven fibres has been jointly developed by US packaging systems company Sealed Air and DuPont.

Air Design consists of an outer shell of DuPont Tyvek flashspun polyethylene and is lined with PE bubble cushioning. Technology from Sealed Air enables the envelopes to be heat sealed on three sides before cutting.

The mailer is available in five sizes through distributor La Couronne.

Air Design is aimed at direct marketing and dispatching companies or anyone wishing to protect fragile shipments with distinct looking mailers.
