Industrial Automation Ltd is laying claim to the world's first double-stack palletiser – capable of inserting pallets mid-stack without operator intervention and ideal for companies with limitations on pallet heights.
Smart Palletiser works by stacking product from the bottom up. With a footprint of 4.45m2 and height of 1.2m it requires less floor space and headroom than conventional top-loading palletisers.
It is ideally suited to high volume, low density palletising and can handle loads up to 500kg – it can load a typical 13-box layer in 30 seconds. It is plc-controlled with 20 programme capacity and can be linked to barcode readers and suitable in-feed conveyers, allowing multiple line in-feed.
First installations of Smart Palletiser have been within printing houses and one of the UK's largest snack producers.
