A cracking 2D coder

7 April 2003

A high-performance 2D code reader has been introduced by Leuze Mayser into the UK market.

The VisionReader 2300 scanner is claimed to read low contrast, direct marked data matrix codes onto metal. It is designed for permanent mounting and features a decoder with a processing speed of 300 mega-instructions/sec, enabling it to read the codes Data-matrix ECC 200 and PDF 417.

A further advantage of the code reader is its Windows-based set-up, enabling faster adjustment to new applications.
