A box with two faces

Demand from major retailers for transit cases that double as point of sale packs has led Rigid Corrugated to invest £2M into print capability that offers near pre-print standards at lower origination costs.

The Selby and Desborough based company can now deliver corrugated fibreboard cases in up to five colours including var-nish, with plans to shortly offer a sixth.

Rigid's new print capability, which also allows shorter production runs, comes from a post-print Masterflex press. Greatest demand for the versatile cases is expected in the food, alcopop and soft drink sectors.
