The managing directors of 3S Packaging Technology, Friedrich Kern and Rainer Kaiser, have issued a “clarification” of the article Bradman Lake serves injunction at Interpack, published recently on the Bradman Lake website.
Part of the 3S statement reads: “It is correct that on April 30, only two hours before the end of the show, an interim injunction has been served to 3S Packaging Technology with the content that 3S within ‘the territory of the Federal Republic of Germany is not allowed to offer, to promote or to sell a machine as reflected below…’.
“The two photographs shown in the injunction were used by 3S Packaging Technology in display material on the fairground and on the 3S website at that time but were obsolete and old material, and did not comply with the machine exhibited at Interpack.
“Although the copyright of the two photographs is exclusively with 3S Packaging Technology, the photos have been removed from the website and replaced by new photos of the machines which were available after Interpack.
“As the machines shown on the photos have nothing in common with the machines produced and offered by 3S, it was a natural step anyway to replace them after having taken new photographs.
“The managing directors of 3S Packaging Technology want to formally assure all customers that none of the end load cartoners produced and promoted by 3S has ever infringed any third party IP rights.”
