Bringing more joy to not drinking, Caleño’s NEW Dark & Spicy is the perfect partner to spice up your night.

On a mission to bring joy to not drinking, leading alcohol free spirit Caleño presents the delicious new addition to its tropical line up, Caleño Dark & Spicy which launches this November. The distilled, golden and spicy blend, packed with warming pineapple, tropical notes, ginger and kola nut spices is the perfect way to add some spice to your night and get the fiesta going.

Nearly half (49%) of mainstream cocktails contain rum – with the traditional Mojito being the UK’s most searched for cocktail* – so Caleño Dark & Spicy is the perfect non-alcoholic alternative for those who are partial to spiced rum. We love it served over ice, topped with soda and with a generous squeeze of lime.

Caleño Dark & Spicy joins the original Light & Zesty variety, a refreshing blend of juniper, citrus and spice botanicals featuring the golden Inca berry. Both products are inspired by the flavours, rhythms and colours of Colombia, and are deliciously sugar free, sweetener-free, allergen-free and free from any artificial flavourings.

Now, with the launch of Dark & Spicy, Caleño can take you seamlessly from day to night - and bring a little joy to your everyday. Caleño Light & Zesty is made for sunny daytime socials while Caleño Dark & Spicy is the perfect sundowner or warming spirit of the night for those cosy nights in.

Caleño was founded by Ellie Webb, who was frustrated by the lack of choice in alcohol-free drinks. Inspired by the vibrant and energetic culture of her Colombian Mother’s Homeland she set out to combine the sunny South America lust for life with her tropical non-alcoholic ‘free spirits’, Caleño Light & Zesty and Caleño Dark & Spicy.

Ellie commented; “I’m incredibly excited to be launching Caleño Dark & Spicy, which really captures the tropical flavours of Colombia, a land steeped in joyful living. Caleño is designed to bring more moments of joy to people’s lives (yes, even when they’re not drinking). Both of our vibrant, colourful bottles are bursting with bold natural tropical flavours, and complement each other perfectly, suiting a whole array of different palettes.

We experienced a huge growth in sales over lock-down as people began to reclaim time out of their busy lives to focus on the important things, like friends, family, and self-care, which included re-evaluating drinking habits to support a brighter, bolder and more vibrant way of living. And that’s why we’re here, to help support that.”

In Colombia happy hour is known as happier hour, or hora màs feliz so why not try one of Caleño’s new Dark & Spicy serves for your very own hora màs feliz. Time to set your spirit free?
