Planglow is targeting food-to-go outlets, schools and leisure facilities and the dieting market with the launch of its Mini Wedge sandwich packaging, designed to accommodate two quarters of a deep-fill sandwich or one quarter of a triple sandwich.
Compostable packaging and labelling provider Planglow has released Mini Wedge in two varieties – Natural and Gastro – in colours and designs coordinated to provide mix and match opportunities with its range of other soup, salad, snack and sandwich packaging options.
Available in Planglow’s best-selling rustic Natural Collection and new slate effect Gastro range, the Mini Wedges are supplied in boxes of 500 flat packed products to minimise customers’ storage requirements.
The wedges are assembled simply by squeezing the sides to pop up and open, then clipping in the fold-over back panel to seal.
Planglow recommends a range of sticker options for labelling, in matching colours from its Frosty Small and Enjoy lines.
Planglow marketing director Rachael Sawtell says: “While the demand for little bites is huge, options to package them had previously proven to be slim pickings – especially for those food providers who were looking to match with the rest of their packaging range.
“We are therefore delighted to have not one, but two new mini wedge designs, and multiple label options, for food providers looking to cater for this market.”
Planglow’s Simply Natural Round Label, Frosty and Enjoy labels are all suitable for both inkjet and laser printers and can be easily and quickly overprinted using Planlgow’s labelling software LabelLogic.
