Rigid packaging manufacturer Paccor is launching Neocell, a new sustainable film concept for dairy form-fill-seal (FFS) applications.
Developed at the European group’s FFS Centre of Excellence in Mont-de-Marsan, France, Neocell’s low-density design offers advantages in terms of efficiency and sustainability.
“We are tremendously excited about Neocell’s potential,” says Paccor development leader Vincent Duguay.
“It is an innovative, ecological and resource-saving concept for various FFS applications.
“Neocell’s unique selling point is its low-density middle layer, which makes the polystyrene film lighter and more environmentally friendly, and improves the carbon footprint.”
According to Paccor, Neocell’s reduced density leads to weight reduction, material savings and less CO2 emissions, and the density and the structure of the film can be adjusted according to the client’s needs.
Initially available to the dairy business across Europe, a number of Neocell film thicknesses are available, ranging from 0.7mm to 1.4mm, and the film can be either white or bi-colour.
