Gressingham Duck Teams Up with Blue Dragon for On-Pack Promotion

19 February 2019

In celebration of Chinese New Year, Gressingham Duck has launched a promotion with Blue Dragon to encourage more people to try duck this season. In the lead up to Chinese New Year, 370,000 selected Gressingham Duck products will feature a special 'Don't Forget Your Bottle of Blue Dragon Sauce’ sticker, whilst 340,000 Blue Dragon bottles will carry a neck tie that promotes duck and gives a link to a competition webpage on the Gressingham Duck website where people can win a hamper of duck goodies.

The Blue Dragon promotion will feature on Gressingham Duck's packs of fresh duck legs, breast and whole duck products in Tesco, Sainsbury's, Waitrose and Morrisons. There will also be leaflets in the brand's Half Crispy Aromatic Duck packs offering 50p off the Gressingham Duck Bistro range.

“Duck is a remarkable meat and cooking with duck makes a meal far more memorable. It tastes wonderful, is one of the healthier meats you can choose and is far easier to cook than people think,” says Rebecca Alderton, brand manager at Gressingham Duck. “We produce a range of products that are perfect for celebrating Chinese New Year, from our raw fresh duck, to our Bistro range and Aromatic Crispy Duck selection. Teaming up with Blue Dragon is a fantastic opportunity to shout about the many uses for duck and how it can fit perfectly into every day healthy cooking.”

Adds Rebecca, “We hope this promotion will boost our on-shelf presence, drive sales and encourage more people to give duck a try at home.”

Reared free-to-roam in barns on Red Tractor assured farms in Suffolk and Norfolk, Gressingham Duck is a unique breed with more breast meat and less fat for a more succulent meat and it is delicious enjoyed in a range of ways.

Gressingham Duck produces raw duck, its Bistro range of ready-to-cook duck dishes and its Aromatic range of crispy duck products. Its products are available through Waitrose, Sainsbury's, Tesco and Morrisons.
