27 January 2020

Coca-Cola European Partners (CCEP) has been named as one of the top companies included in the Carbon Disclosure Project Climate A-list for 2019. CDP’s annual assessment is widely recognized as the gold standard of climate-related transparency for global businesses.

Joe Franses, Vice President, Sustainability at Coca-Cola European Partners said: “With the threshold for A-list membership increasing significantly in 2019, this milestone moment represents a significant achievement. Our work to understand our climate-related risks, together with our ongoing GHG emissions disclosure has been critical in helping us to achieve this important position.”

“We are building a long-term carbon reduction strategy which is aligned with climate-science and a pathway which limits global temperature increase to well-below 2 degrees; all of which demonstrates our clear commitment to tacking climate change.”

CCEP was recognized for its actions to cut emissions, mitigate climate risks and use 100% renewable electricity. A detailed and independent methodology is used by CDP to assess all companies, allocating a score of A to D.
