Baxters secures Tesco listing for Super Good soups

31 August 2018

Baxters Food Group has gained listings for its range of Super Good soups in Tesco stores across the UK.

The innovative range of six soups was launched in September last year to support the company’s growing focus on wellbeing, and further strengthen its commitment to flavour, in response to the country’s evolving tastes and lifestyles.

The Super Good range consists of six variants: tomato, orange and ginger; chicken broccoli and rice; chicken noodle; fiery fish bisque; pea, broccoli and basil pesto, and root vegetable and turmeric. Three SKUs, each contributing a minimum of 2 of consumers’ 5 a day, will now be available in 700 Tesco stores nationwide:

  • Root vegetable and turmeric
  • Tomato, orange and ginger
  • Pea, broccoli and basil pesto.

Dave McLaughlin, sales director at Baxters Food Group, said: “Our Super Good range is packed full of goodness, with each can created using key ingredients which are proven to have significant health benefits, from the anti-inflammatory effects of ginger and turmeric, to the vitamin D and B sourced from oily fish and the high protein content in chicken.

“These soups have already proved popular with customers across the country since the launch, providing the perfect balance between delicious flavours and ‘great for you’ ingredients. As the demand for foods which support a healthy lifestyle increases, this listing with Tesco will ensure our products are widely available for those looking to eat well and feel great.”

Since its inception, the range of superfood soups has captured consumers’ attention and demonstrated strong market appeal, with sales figures showing that 46.3% of Super Good shoppers are new to the category entirely. (source: Retailer x, 12wk 14th July 2018 vs LY)

Baxters Super Good 400g tins will be available in Tesco from July, retailing at £1.50. The Super Good range is also available in Sainsburys and Waitrose stores.
