Apeldoorn Flexible Packaging (AFP) brings news back to Fachpack

14 September 2018

As of 25-27 of September 2018, AFP will be exhibiting at the FachPack in Nuremberg Germany. AFP will present several new products for Stretch Film and Food Packaging Film applications.

The market for Stretch film and Food Packaging film is more and more looking for sustainable alternatives. Product renewal and technological innovation have always been important values of AFP and we have been investing heavily in the development of sustainable alternatives for our customers. This has resulted in the first High Performance Biobased Stretch film: Katan-Ex Biobased.

This film is derived from sugar cane. With this film we are able to realise a 90% lower carbon footprint in comparison to normal stretch film whilst achieving Katan-Ex stretch film performance. That is our promise of driving your performance!

In the Food Packaging market we are developing mono solutions for barrier laminates in a joined effort with the Jindal Group – where AFP is part of. Mono materials are much easier to recycle in comparison to composite laminates. And therefore challenging from an environmental perspective.
