The pull of hot foil

25 February 2010

Hot stamping foil decorative effects will catch the eye, give a product ‘pick me up’ appeal and have ‘play value’, to help push up sales, says UK company Foilco.

The beacon effect is used to advantage in fast moving goods such as toothpastes, detergents, pet food, CDs and DVDs, perfumes - even baked beans. Foilco supplies a range of metallic colours, pigments, pearls, special effects, holographic and security designs as film, paper, board and self-adhesive.

In marketing the technique can enhance brand equities, grow market share and provide measurable promotional lift, says Paul Hornby of Foilco.
