Designed to intrigue

Bombay Sapphire’s travel retail packaging by Webb deVlam works well because it ‘intrigues’ the consumer. The Reign carton features lenticular printing that emulates the prismatic reflections of the glistening sphere of a glass designed by Eva Zeisel.

Imagery of the geometric blue bottle is on all sides of the carton. The prismatic spheres appear to magnify key messages on the bottle, such as the botanical ingredients of Bombay Sapphire.

API created the foil lens which requires precision printing. It is thought to be the first use of the Fresnel lens printed foil laminate technique to create a 3D dome effect illusion in packaging in the drinks sector. Chesapeake’s carton is robust to endure travel carriage while using a minimum of material.
