RPC Group - Former group marketing director at Autobar Packaging David Edwards has joined the senior management team at RPC Group, where he will initially be working alongside directors Philip Hilton and Henk Kloeze, focusing on the group's thermoforming operations. Alongside his extensive knowledge of rigid plastics he has wide-raging food and drink sector expertise, having held key positions at companies including Seagram Distillers, Northern Foods and Matthew Walker.

Brecon Pharmaceuticals - Leading pharmaceutical outsource packaging services provider Brecon Pharmaceuticals has appointed Dr Russell Thomson, who has spent his entire career in the pharmaceutical industry, and has in-depth contract manufacturing and packaging expertise, as its new quality assurance and regulatory affairs director. He joins after three and a half years with pharma company Norgine, where he held several senior QA roles.

Beatson Clark - Dave Armitage, who has been with the Rotherham-based glass container manufacturer for almost 40 years, most recently as production manager, has been promoted to the role of production director at Beatson Clark, where one of his key tasks will be ensuring application of lean manufacturing techniques.

Linx Printing Technologies - Linx Printing Technologies, the Cambridgeshire-based coding and marketing specialist, has a new managing director. Mark Verheyden most recently served as vice-president, marketing at barcode scanning business Accu-Sort, which is also part of the Danaher Corporation. His management expertise is matched by considerable technical knowledge; he began his career as a software engineer for Nippon Seiko.

Structure-flex - Bulk packaging specialist Structure-flex says the appointment of Richard Bowman as its new manufacturing manager will help champion improvements through all stages of its production. Bowman, who has over 20 years' engineering sector expertise, will be responsible for ensuring that output matches the growing international demand for the company's diverse product range.

Domino Printing Sciences - Thorsten Föcking, a laser technology specialist who has worked with many OEMs and large pharmaceutical companies, has been appointed product director for Laser at inkjet and laser coding and marking specialist Domino Printing Sciences. Having studied laser technology, Föcking went on to work for Rofin-Sinar as product manager before becoming sales manager at Sator Laser, which became a Domino company in 2005.
