Rockware Glass

Chris Todd, a founding member of Rockware Glass's Freshthinking team who has worked with international brand owners on packaging and brand development, has been appointed as the company's innovation and new product development (NPD) manager. Managing a project team responsible for strategic innovation, he will work closely with the Rockware sales and marketing team's recently created Brand Enhancement Centre.

Global Closure Systems

Global Closure Systems, a major supplier of plastic and metal closing and dispensing systems, has appointed two new presidents to drive growth within its Speciality and Beverage sectors. Thierry Tomasov, new president of the European and North American Beverage sector, joins from Arjo Wiggins, where he was most recently ceo of the Coated Paper division, while incoming president of GCS's European and North American Speciality sector Christian Voegeli joins from the automotive industry.

Budelpack

Merilyn Murphy, a graduate engineer with over 10 years' experience in areas including development engineering, lecturing and contract project management, has been appointed project manager at leading food co-packer Budelpack.

Superfos

Superfos, one of Europe's leading injection-moulded plastic packaging suppliers, has appointed Hans Pettersson as its new CEO. Most recently md at Cargotec company MacGregor, Pettersson brings packaging experience from senior spells at companies including AssiDoman and Modo Paper.

Corus Steel Packaging Recycling

The UK's centre of excellence on steel packaging recycling, Corus Steel Packaging Recycling (CSPR), has a new manager. David Williams has worked as commercial manager since 2000, having originally joined in 1997 as regional representative, the North & Scotland, for CSPR forerunner the British Steel Packaging Recycling Unit.

Veriplast International

Veriplast International, a European vending and foodservice disposables supplier, has appointed Steve Gray as European key account manager, where he will be responsible for developing pan-European accounts in the drinks and retail sectors, alongside Graham Kingston. Haydn Morgan becomes group new product development manager responsible for product innovation and creativity.

BAMA

John Bigley has been appointed as the new chairman of the British Aerosol Manufacturers' Association (BAMA) in the run-up to the BAMA-hosted Aerosols 2007 congress and exhibition in Manchester next September (see p10). The European operations director for USC Europe, Bigley has been the Association's vice-chairman since June 2004.
