Tetra Pak

Tetra Laval's Group Board has appointed Dennis Jönsson president and ceo of Tetra Pak, effective January 1 2006, following Nick Shreiber's decision to retire from the role by the end of this year. Currently head of Tetra Pak's Carton Ambient business, Jönsson joined Tetra Pak in 1982 and has held several managerial positions.

Budelpack

Co-packer Budlepack March in the UK has made two senior appointments. Joining from the Polestar Printing Group, new operations director David Loughlin will take responsibility for technical delivery of new projects and day-to-day manufacturing operations, while project engineering manager Martin Taylor will oversee planning and start-up of new customer projects.

G&A Healthcare

G&A Healthcare, the flexible packaging supplier to the pharmaceutical industry, has appointed Steve Godwin managing director to support its continued expansion plans.

Godwin, who has extensive printed web experience, joins from Derby, UK-based Ethiprint, where he was operations director.

Reed Exhibitions

Barbara Jackson, who had served since 2002 (following earlier spells with the company in the 1980s and 1990s) as Reed Exhibitions' show director for the PPMA, Pakex and Total exhibitions and its new Packaging Innovation Show launched this year, has left the company. She is succeeded by Ian Crawford, show director at major plastics exhibition Interplas for the last 18 months and previously sales director at plastics industry equipment supplier Demag.

Rexam Beverage Can Europe & Asia

Rexam Beverage Can Europe & Asia has appointed John Revess, former Colgate-Palmolive head of Oral Care, as director of marketing. Heading up a five-strong marketing team working across Europe and Asia, Revess has previously been responsible for FMCG brands such as Colgate and Soupline after beginning his career in European Packaging Innovation roles for Unilever.

Sandiacre Rose Forgrove

Packaging machinery manufacturer Sandiacre Rose Forgrove has a new managing director. Simon Lagoe began his career with Metal Box and subsequently spent 21 years with Barry Wehmiller and BWI, including spells as md of aerosol filling specialist BWI KP Aerofill and tablet production equipment manufacturer BWI Manesty.

Dragon Plastics

Rod Parker has taken over from his father, Ian, managing director of the Pontypridd, Wales-based closure manufacturer and packaging solutions provider for the last 20 years, at the helm of Dragon Plastics. The third generation of the family to run the company, Parker joined the firm in 1999.
