Harlands Labels

Tom Kelly has taken up the new role of technical development manager for self-adhesive label printer Harlands Labels. His key responsibilities will include ensuring Harlands stays fully in touch with emerging technology, supporting the company's sales force, spearheading a product innovation programme and working with production management personnel to continuously review press performance. Kelly's previous experience includes spells with Waddington Group, Trident, Tinsley Robor and CCL.

Treofan

Treofan, one of the world's biggest producers of high performance biaxially oriented polypropylene film, has appointed Gil Dankner as the new president and chairman of its board and ceo of the Treofan Group. He previously worked for various chemical companies partially or fully owned by the Dankner Group.

Print Design & Graphics

Specialist carton printer Print Design & Graphics has appointed two new staff members. Jo Morgan, who has 12 years' packaging sector experience gained with Hartmann and Pactiv, joins as manager of the company's newly formed tray services division, while Peter Riley, previously with Waddingtons Label Division in Gateshead, takes over the role of print manager.

Catchpoint

Catchpoint is following up the launch of its US division with further UK expansion. Interest in the company's liner/web-free self-adhesive labels, resulting in high demand for technical development support amongst potential licensees, has seen the appointment of Rick Leivers as technical development manager. He brings 20 years' experience in the British labelling and printing trade.

PP Payne

Hamish Pitt, for the last two years based at the company's Nottingham HQ, has been appointed regional manager of tear tape manufacturer PP Payne's North-East Asia and Oceania operation. Based in Tokyo, Pitt will look after national and multinational customers throughout Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.

Multisorb Technologies

Active packaging specialist Multisorb Technologies has appointed Steven M Lloyd as director of sales, while former sales representative for global chemical company Rhodia Oy Liisa Mäki becomes business development representative for Western Europe.
