Elopak - Elopak has appointed Niels Petter Wright, formerly chief financial officer, as its new president and ceo. Replacing Bjørn Flatgård, who had decided to step down as ceo after a decade in the role, Wright joined Elopak in 2000, and the company says, has since “played an important part in establishing Elopak as a globally leading and profitable industry player within fresh liquid food packaging”.

Bostik - Global sealant and adhesives company Bostik has announced that Tony Davison has taken over as md of the firm's UK operation, replacing Harry Murray, who is retiring. Having originally joined Evode's Automotive Division in the late 1980s, Davison soon became business manager for Automotive and Glazing, with further business areas added when Evode merged with Bostik in 2001. Since then he has worked as director of Bostik's Industrial Adhesives strategic business unit.

Hi-Cone - Steve Bates, a trained mechanical engineer with over 20 years' sales experience with packaging-related businesses, has been appointed UK sales and marketing manager at multi-pack specialist Hi-Cone. His key tasks will include further developing the company's existing “strong position” in the beer industry and focussing on new opportunities for Hi-Cone's multi-pack systems for cans and bottles.

FractureCode - Following the acceleration of its commercial development into new technologies, products and services, track and trace solution provider FractureCode Corporation has appointed a new md. Jacob Götzsche moves to the role from ISS Management, where he was senior vice-president, corporate accounts, having previously spent 15 years in senior sales and marketing roles with companies including IBS, Hewlett Packard and Compaq. A new management structure also sees Jacob Rasmussen, co-inventor of FractureCode's technology and md during its start-up, become technology and development director.

Anson - Anson, the plastic food supplier, has a new sales and marketing director as it prepares for further UK expansion and development of its business across Europe. Paul Greenhow joins from international food manufacturer Bakkavör, where he worked for four years as category manager, supplying retail products in the fresh prepared salads category.

tna - Focussing on regional expansion, moving the company into new markets and expanding applications into the confectionery, fresh produce, pasta and frozen food sector will be among the key responsibilities for turnkey packaging and processing system specialist tna Europe's new general manager, Neil Andrews.
