Charles Shaw has become the new chief executive of the Autobar Disposables Group. He takes over responsibility from Dr John Key who remains on the Board as international director. Mr Shaw joins his post from the position of Autobar Group technical director.
Commenting on his new role he said: "There are three key challenges in this role. The first is to continue integration of the business into a seamless pan-European operation including the full integration of two new business units. The second is to continue our investment and innovation programme which will take us into new product applications using ground breaking new materials; we see this as a critical area for growth in foodservice disposables. Thirdly, we will continue to develop our people and achieve results by giving people the responsibility required to deliver beyond expectation."
Dr Key continues in his post as director of the vending industry's environmental organisation 'Save a Cup' and as treasurer of EFPA (European and Food Service Packaging Association).
