Yamato Scale Dataweigh open house on high speed bagging

7 March 2014

Yamato Scale Dataweigh will be holding a series of open house events in March, in conjunction with Rovema, National Flexible and Cox & Plant, to demonstrate the “exceptional” speed and efficiency of the Yamato and Rovema system.

The company is inviting prospective and existing customers to attend on any day during the two weeks commencing 17 March 2014 at Yamato’s headquarters in Leeds, UK, to see the new Omega Multihead Weigher working inline with the Rovema VPS 180 form-fill-seal machine.

With live demonstrations, the event will enable customers to gain a detailed understanding of how weighing and bagging technology can improve both efficiency and accuracy on packaging lines – with particular focus on small bagged snacks, nuts and confectionery.

Speeds of up to 220 packs/min can be achieved for bagged items weighing 25g.

Manufacturers are also invited to bring along their own products, so they can watch dedicated demonstrations of small portion items being packaged live.

Commercial operations manager Andrea Spencer says: “This event also offers manufacturers the opportunity to meet with Yamato’s experienced and knowledgeable sales and technical teams, as well as watch the unique bottom-based handling Omega Multihead Weigher with polygon shaped buckets and resonant drive feeders in operation.

“Our new I-series checkweigher will also be on show and completes the total packaging solutions now offered by Yamato in conjunction with our OEM suppliers.”
