Tyler launches ‘strongest’ polywoven BOPP/PP sack

19 August 2013

Tyler Packaging has launched a new format of polywoven BOPP/PP sack, which it describes as “the strongest format on the market suitable for any bulk packaging”.

According to the UK-based flexible packaging supplier, the BOPP/PP woven sacks are available in two formats – folded sewn bottom and block bottom – and are available in a wide range of sizes to suit any products weighing 5kg and upwards.

Adam Kay, Tyler’s sales and technical director, says: “BOPP/PP laminates are durable, puncture-resistant and out-perform in appearance and durability more traditional competitors such as claycoated paper sacks, which can look worn when the product arrives on the shelf, not conveying the look brand owners originally wanted.”

BOPP/PP laminates, Kay adds, are suited to high quality roto-gravure print up to 10 colours, and the top laminated layer acts as a good moisture barrier while also ensuring the design is scuff-free.

The new sacks are said to be 100% recyclable, in any format.

While Tyler Packaging recognises that some consumers may prefer to keep to the traditional paper or hessian bags available on the market, the company’s new woven sack can be created with a finish that is similar to that of paper or hessian.

“We believe in staying ahead of the competition and providing our clients with the latest in flexible packaging innovations,” says Kay.

Specialising in flexible packaging for human food, pet food and garden products, Tyler Packaging also provides 3D visualisation for its clients within the design stage of the packaging, to enable marketing departments to achieve optimum designs and print layouts prior to printing.
