Tyler improves pouch capabilities

6 January 2015

UK based flexible packaging specialist Tyler Packaging has invested in a new Totani FD-60DLLSC pouch making machine to expand its capacity to produce SQ4/quad seal bags and large format pouches. It follows the installation of a previous Totani model at the end of 2013, to produce flat base pouches.

The new machine produces flat and gusseted pouches with widths of between 200mm and 590mm and lengths of up to 500mm, facilitating the production of large format bags at high output speeds. The comparatively large size of the pouches makes them ideal for pet foods and garden foods. A large variety of laminated films can be used, and the machine is capable of printing on the bottom panel, enabling branding on all five sides.

Totani's servomotor control system is capable of producing high speeds at 240 cycles per minute together with high strength sealing. Tyler's diverse range of resealable closures such as top sliders, hooded top sliders and various types of zippers means that clients interested in utilising the new capabilities afforded by the Totani can choose from an array of packaging options.
