Confectionery packaging machinery specialist Theegarten-Pactec is forming a special team in its Research & Development department to deal with an “increasing volume of queries” on its programme for horizontal flowpack machines.
The Dresden, Germany-based company says the enquiries it receives are often in connection with products currently packed in other wrapping styles.
Theegarten-Pactec offers horizontal flowpack machines in all performance categories: for hard candies (FPH5), chocolate (FPC5), as well as a high speed forming, cutting and wrapping machine (FPW5).
In addition, a variant of the FPC5 is available for non-food products, such as the processing of chemically aggressive dishwasher tabs.
Theegarten-Pactec attaches “very high priority” to its R&D department, which currently employs 75 members of staff.
“We are committed to remaining at the forefront of the competition for the best ideas,” says Bodo Förster, head of the company’s Development & Construction department.
“And to achieve this, copying will not suffice. You must also invent new things – and that is the daily routine of our engineers.”
Theegarten-Pactec specialises in the design and construction of packaging machines for small pieced confectionery items. The company combines more than 20 different types of packaging with a broad performance spectrum.
