Hamburg-based TER Hell & Co has taken on exclusive sale in Europe of the thermoplastics processing additive SureFlo from the US company Flow Polymers LLC.
The recently concluded agreement relates in particular to the SureFlo thermoplastic processing aids said to enable plastics processing efficiency to be increased.
Already used with success in the USA, these additive grades have been demonstrated to be effective in injection moulding and extrusion, as well as in blow moulding and thermoforming.
Flow Polymers claims that independent tests and trials with “renowned customers” show that its SureFlo processing aids “contribute in numerous ways towards significant improvement in the efficiency of forming processes”.
Tests in injection moulding are said to have established that SureFlo can achieve: “Up to 48% faster mould filling; up to 30% lower filling pressure required; up to 50% lower shear heat; and up to 20% reduced cycle time.”
Flow Polymers CEO Mike Ivany says TER Hell is: “Particularly well placed to manage the technical aspects of the sales process.”

SureFlo additives are also said to optimise surface properties of plastic products and contribute towards homogeneity of blended polymers, and can be used equally well with virgin thermoplastics and recyclate.
