Storopack adds Foamplus Mini to PU foam cushions range

13 December 2011

Targeting small and medium-sized users, Storopack has introduced the Foamplus Mini, a stand-alone table-top work station variant, to its foam-in-the-bag PU foam cushion packaging system range.

In the Foamplus Mini, the foam components are held directly inside the device, not in special drums or containers.

With one component pack, the device can manufacture on average between 30 and 40 foam cushions, and in order to refill it, the front cover is opened at the upper end of the system, and a new component pack placed inside.

Operation of the system is simple, with a choice of four bag sizes and five alternative filling amounts. The running operation functions without a cleaning procedure, helping users to achieve minimal downtime.

Foamplus Mini is geared to satisfy packaging requirements found in such environments as post offices, online shops and start-up companies. The company says the system is also particularly suitable for providers in the area of “reverse logistics” and repair logistics, thanks to the PU foam cushions being universally applicable.

The compact construction and portability of the Foamplus Mini allows the option of transferring the location in use. Needing only a standard 220V power connection, the user can simply “plug-and-play” when packing.

PU foam cushions are a light, universally applicable form of protective packaging. The plastic moulds to the individual contour of the product to be packaged as it hardens. The impact resistant cushions are able to overcome demanding transport situations thanks to their high level of resilience and rebound elasticity.

Based in Metzingen, Germany, Storopack is a specialist in the field of protective packaging, its product portfolio encompassing both customized and flexible packaging systems and their integration into customer packaging processes.
