Plastics manufacturer Sone Products has been appointed by Curaden International, a global supplier of dental products, to manufacturer two styles of coloured plastic toothpicks along with clear and white boxes.
According to the company, Sone’s latest order – worth in excess of £200,000 annually – was secured shortly after it announced a major investment programme at its plant in the north east of England.
Sone’s acquisition of new injection blow moulding equipment facilitated a move into the manufacture of a range of new products.
Curaden International’s international sales director Richard Thomas says: “We decided to work with Sone for a number of reasons, namely because of the improved cost effectiveness and the more beneficial production and delivery solutions they were able to offer.
“We have also found the team to be been extremely professional at all levels, providing us with a seamless transition process to bring the manufacturing to the UK.”
Sone also develops, manufactures and decorates packaging for products including mascaras, eyeliners and lip-gloss packs for the cosmetics industry, with each unit produced using both plastic injection and extrusion blow moulding processes, and in the near future injection blow moulding processes.
