Paxiom Group has launched a high speed Horizontal Flow Wrapper designed for simple set-up and changeover, and capable of 200 packages per minute – the Sleek 65.
According to the US-based company, Sleek 65 Wrapper is very flexible and easy to use, and suited to a broad range of industries including confectionery, snack foods, bakery, hardware and other non-food products such as pharmaceutical or medical products.
Sleek 65 uses three servo motors and servo drives, creating quick and easy changeover adjustment, and assuring precise positioning, smooth acceleration and deceleration.
There are no chains or gears, and no lubrication is needed, hence “very little cause or need for maintenance”.
The Sleek 65 Wrapper can wrap using many roll stock materials including and not limited to polypropylene film, microperf material, multilayer laminated, co-extruded and foil films.
Standard features include precise PID temperature control, pre-programmed and stored product set-up, stainless steel frame construction, user friendly colour touch screen HMI, auto open/close rotary fin wheel assembly and rotary seal jaws with jam detecting logic.
The new machine can be equipped with gas flush capabilities for extended shelf life, as well as printing and/or labelling attachments for product identification or code dating.
Eye mark sensing devices mounted on the film unwind roller assembly also enable the simple running of registered printed roll stock film.
