Sirane claims its new Sira-Cook Supreme bag, a ‘barbecue ready meal’ packaging solution, could “revolutionise” the way retailers offer barbecue food for sale.
UK-based Sirane, a leading packaging product development-to-manufacture company, says the Sira-Cook Supreme bag stands alone in the market by being suited to both oven and barbecue, as well as hot-plate or griddle cooking.
The company is also claiming a first with Sira-Cook Supreme as it can be fully heat-sealed, meaning it can be shipped and transported with food in, or used over the counter or sold simply as the bags on their own.
“It might be turning cold in the UK, but many retailers will very soon be turning their thoughts to next summer,” says Sirane sales director Jeremy Haydn-Davies.
"This bag is the perfect summer solution for retailers – [its] versatility could be a distinct advantage.”
Retailers will be able to offer consumers, for example, a steak with a sauce in one bag that can be cooked on a barbecue alongside another containing foods for vegetarians.
“The same bags would also allow over-the-counter sales of ready-to-barbecue packs, which if heat-sealed behind the counter are leak-proof,” Haydn-Davies continues.
“Or retailers could simply sell the bags alongside their products – users would simply need to put in the ingredients, fold over the ends and cook.”
The Sira-Cook Supreme bag provides “genuine versatility in one product”, he adds.
The Sira-Cook Supreme bag is available in a number of sizes and in a standard and non-stick version.
It comes with a clear top panel, so users can see the contents as they cook.
